Yet, my heart remains captivated by the fiery spirit of Liyue, especially a certain 4-star Pyro claymore wielder I obtained for free during the grand 4.4 update: Gaming. From the moment I saw him perform his signature Wushou Dance, I knew I had to build him into a formidable force. This is the story of my meticulous, sometimes grueling, but ultimately rewarding journey to fully ascend and empower this free-to-play friendly DPS from Chenyu Vale.

The first step, as any seasoned Traveler knows, is Ascension. To unlock Gaming's true potential and raise him to level 90, I needed to gather a specific set of resources. Being a Pyro character, the journey began with the radiant Agnidus Agate stones. I spent days challenging fiery foes across the nations. My routine included:

• The towering Pyro Regisvine in Liyue

• The adaptable Primo Geovishap, ensuring it manifested its Pyro form

These bosses generously (or sometimes begrudgingly) dropped Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and eventually, the precious Gemstones. I became a regular at the Crafting Bench, transmuting lower-tier agates into the gleaming stones needed for his final ascension thresholds.

I walked the beaches of Liyue, from Yaoguang Shoal to Guyun Stone Forest, listening for their faint, oceanic hum. With only 77 nodes that respawn every 48 hours, patience was key. The final boss material, Emperor's Resolution, required a trip to the newer region of Fontaine to face the formidable Emperor of Fire and Iron. Each victory, fueled by precious Original Resin, yielded only a few of the needed 46, stretching the process over several days.

The Mora cost for ascension alone was 420,000, and leveling him to 90 with EXP books demanded an additional 1.6 million Mora. I found myself frequently diverting my Resin to Ley Line Outcrops, watching the Blossoms of Wealth bloom. But this was only the foundation. The real test, the true expression of dedication, lay in mastering his Talents.

Gaming's Talents, the essence of his explosive Plunging Attack playstyle, were a whole different beast. The demand for resources was exponentially higher. My stockpile of Slime materials began to dwindle alarmingly fast. The core of his martial arts training came from Prosperity Talent Books. But seeing Gaming now, leaping across the battlefield, his claymore wreathed in Pyro as he executes perfect plunges, every moment spent farming feels worth it. He stands as a testament that in Teyvat, dedication can forge even a freely-given 4-star character into a true powerhouse.
